The body of an unidentified man was discovered at an abandoned care home in Harrow, police have revealed.
The discovery was made on Thursday evening in Kenton Lane, shortly after 8pm, leaving residents and the online community in a state of concern.
The presence of forensic investigators in the vicinity of the area was reported by members of Harrow Online Group on facebook who wondered what had happened.
One person posted to the group, “Does anybody know why there’s been police/forensics at Mountside Road, Stanmore last night/all day today?”
While details surrounding the circumstances of the man’s death remain limited, police have provided a statement.
A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called to an abandoned care home in Kenton Lane, Harrow, shortly after 20.00hrs on Thursday, 13 July. Officers attended.
“The body of a man was found. Enquiries are ongoing to notify his next of kin. The death is being treated as unexpected, however it is not believed to be suspicious.”
