This afternoon, residents in Kenton faced a brief moment of tension as a suspicious package was reported to the police.
The incident occurred in Christchurch Avenue around 6:30pm, leading to the evacuation of nearby houses and a large police presence in the area.
Worries were swiftly put to rest as authorities efficiently assessed the package and determined it to be non-suspicious. A Met Police spokesperson confirmed the outcome, stating, “The item was quickly assessed as non-suspicious and cordons have been lifted.”
Residents in Kenton returned to their homes, relieved and grateful for the swift response from the police. The incident concluded by 7pm, leaving no harm done.
