Kenton residents are bracing themselves for potential traffic disruptions as roadworks are set to commence on Draycott Avenue this week.
The maintenance project, which is expected to span nearly one month, is slated to begin on August 18 and run until September 15 according to information on the One Network.
The roadworks, by Cadent, are essential for the replacement of old iron gas mains with more durable plastic pipes. This proactive measure is aimed at safeguarding the gas supply to local businesses and residents, ensuring the continued delivery of safe and reliable energy services.
The works could cause delays and potential detours, potentially impacting traffic on Draycott Avenue and nearby roads such as Kenton Road, The Ridgeway and Woodcock Hill.
The gas maintenance project will involve a road closure on Draycott Avenue as crews work to complete the necessary upgrades.
