Kenton’s Claremont High School celebrates outstanding GCSE results

Claremont High School in Kenton is celebrating yet another outstanding year of GCSE results.

The school’s students have once again demonstrated their dedication and academic prowess, achieving an impressive total of 769 grades ranging from 7 to 9.

The school’s headteacher, Ms. Hyde-Boughey, couldn’t hide her pride as she praised the students for their hard work and determination.

“I’m delighted for our students, who’ve worked with real determination, and the whole school is incredibly proud of them,” said Ms. Hyde-Boughey.

Among the standout achievers were Osian Edwards, a 16-year-old student, who secured a remarkable seven grade 9s across subjects including Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics. Overwhelmed Osian said, “I feel absolutely amazing!” as he unveiled his exceptional results.

Manav Bhatt, also 16, joined the ranks of high achievers by earning grade 9s in English Literature and Language, Biology, Physics, Geography, and Design Technology. Reflecting on his journey, Manav admitted, “During revision I felt like giving up, but now I realise that all my hard work was worth it.”

Krisha Panchal, 16, joined the chorus of success with grade 9s in English Literature, Biology, and Geography. She expressed her relief, saying, “I feel so relieved.”

Jiya Bakrania, 16, celebrated her accomplishments with a grade 9 in Mathematics and an impressive eight grade 8s across other subjects. “I feel proud of my results, knowing my hard work paid off,” Jiya said.

Ms. Hyde-Boughey noted the school’s commitment to excellence, aspiration, and perseverance. “At Claremont, we pride ourselves on excellence, aspiration, and perseverance,” she stated.

“These students have certainly demonstrated that. We wish them all the very best for the next steps in their exciting journeys.”
