The countdown to Christmas has officially begun in Watford Town Centre with the announcement of a brand-new and free event, Winterfest, set for Saturday, November 18th, from 2pm to 6pm.
The event, aimed at all ages, will feature a plethora of attractions including funfair rides, festive activities, food and drink stalls, a high street parade, and live street performances, say organiser Watford BID.
Taking place primarily on The Parade in Watford Town Centre, Winterfest is designed to infuse the heart of Watford with a warm community spirit and a lively Christmas ambiance.

Among the numerous attractions, guests can enjoy thrilling rides such as a rodeo reindeer, penguin skittles, and a giant snow globe. Additionally, there will be engaging activities like a test of strength, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The highlight of the day will be the Winterfest parade, kicking off at 4pm outside Metro Bank and McDonald’s on the lower high street. The parade will feature a marching band, costume characters, and local community groups. The procession will wind its way through Watford Town Centre, culminating at the pond.

In addition to organising Winterfest, Watford Town Centre BID is once again lighting up the town with LED Christmas installations. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the dazzling display, made possible through a joint effort with Watford Council.
