A Harrow PCSO who supports neighbourhood policing and works closely with residents schools and community groups spent Tuesday 10 December balancing day to day policing with a community Christmas visit in West Harrow.
Police Community Support Officers known as PCSOs focus on visible patrols community reassurance and helping tackle local issues alongside police officers. One of those officers is PCSO Neal.
After a full day of investigations intelligence checks and community engagement PCSO Neal carried out two foot patrols across Harrow during the day and later into the evening offering advice and reassurance to residents.
The day ended with a visit to Grange Primary School in West Harrow where Santa arrived to meet pupils. The visit followed a Christmas appeal run personally by PCSO Neal to help provide presents and donations to children at the school.
PCSO Neal said how heart warming the support has been in helping to provide presents / donations to the school . Another wonderful example of our community working together.
The appeal helped bring Christmas presents to pupils and was followed by a visit to St David’s House where PCSO Neal joined Year 5 pupils from Grange Primary School for a Christmas celebration. Both the school and the care home are groups he supports regularly throughout the year.
PCSO Neal thanked local businesses and residents including All In One on Shaftesbury Circle and Friends of West Harrow Park for supporting the appeal.
He added, “Here’s wishing the Teachers parent’s pupils of Grange Primary School and our wider community a safe and wonderful Christmas ahead.”
