A community group is continuing to provide free meals for people in need after expanding its partnership with Nando’s at St George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow.
Carib & Co Brunch has launched a series of free fortnightly brunches throughout the summer, offering meals to elderly residents, vulnerable people, low-income families, students, single parents and people experiencing homelessness.
The project has already donated more than 500 meals since it first launched in 2024, with the latest events taking place at Nando’s in St George’s Shopping Centre.
The Mayor of Harrow, Yogesh Teli, attended one of the recent events, where he met members of the local community.

More than 500 meals donated
Jade, founder of Carib & Co Brunch, said: “We were selected for ‘The ‘DTRT-y Cash’ initiative, created by Nando’s and co-funded by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) in October 2025 where the £500 fund is designed to support charities and non profit organisations in funding specific projects, such as improving services or creating new courses to enhance community access to skills. Our mental health project was selected to support our members.
“We provided a range of free health activities for the whole community such as zumba, dance, walks, free health checks plus a free mental health panel talk located at St Georges Shopping Centre in Harrow. We also had food donated from Nandos – South Harrow to support members that attended. We are grateful to Rhys from Nando’s Station Road for nominating us and we hope we are selected for the next fund in 2026″
Jade also thanked Peter, manager of Nando’s at St George’s Shopping Centre, saying: “This has helped to bring awareness to our nonprofit organisation. We thank you for believing in us and our vision. Peace and Love to many more free fortnightly like this for the future – Winter 2026 here we come & Cheers to 2027!”
Peter added: “At Nando’s, people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re incredibly proud to partner with Carib & Co to support members of our local community through initiatives like this. It was fantastic to see our team come together to give back, and a privilege to welcome the Mayor of Harrow, Yogesh Teli. Days like these show the positive impact that can be made when local organisations work together to support those who need it most.”
